What we’re looking for 

 

Reporting to the Commercial Controller – Impulse & New Business, the role of ‘Senior Commercial Manager – Wholesale’ is to nurture and lead MOJU’s Wholesale & Contract Catering business through development of our existing customers (National & Specialty Wholesalers like Bidfood, Brakes, DDC, CLF, Stores and others) whilst growing the customer base served through our wholesalers. 

 

You will have full P&L and account management responsibility for the Wholesale channel, delivering a plan that is aligned to the MOJU mission and consumer occasions.   

 

You will lead unlocking and launching new distribution opportunities within the key sub-channels (Workplace Catering, Chains and Beacons) supported by the wider MOJU team. 

 

The priority is to deliver is the ‘in year’ Wholesale revenue targets, aligned to the wider Impulse Budget.  Priority KPI’s are retaining and growing Stocking Points and Distribution Points within existing and new customers. 

 

Note: we are open to either Commercial Managers or Senior Commercial Managers for this role, so if you feel have have relevant skills but aren’t quite ready for ‘Senior’ - please still get in touch!

Job requirements

Responsibilities of the role include: 

 

Deliver the Wholesale Growth Plan by building impactful relationships and plans with your customers at head office level and manage the execution of those plans through the year working with the wider MOJU CRU across Trade Marketing, Supply Chain & Finance  

  • Deliver the in year Wholesale sales and profit targets, through maintaining and optimising existing customers 

  • Prioritise resources appropriately to accelerate revenue via JBP’s 

  • Create a compelling Category Vision for the role of shots within your customers calling out size of prize 

  • Partnering with Trade Marketing to bring the MOJU BOOM via Media and Promotional Plans with customers 

  • Working with Brand and Trade Marketing to develop a core toolkit for your end customers 

  • Optimise our digital presence with our Wholesale partners that accept orders online. 

  • Work with the Impulse & New Business Controller to connect into customers at greater levels of seniority where appropriate. 

  • Regular/Monthly forecasting for direct and indirect customer set in line with MOJU business priorities 

  • Full account P&L responsibility ensuring we hit key metrics and managing day to day customer spend & accruals with diligence 

  • Monthly Performance updates around MEC to keep the business up to date with performance and ability to stick to yearly budget plan from a profitability perspective. 

 

Develop and Deliver New Business, New Distribution & Volume Growth in key end customers within Workplace Catering, Chains and Beacons.  

  • Align and explore new business opportunities within existing, and new, customers based on clear prioritisation 

  • Work autonomously & creatively to pursue and unlock customer opportunities in existing workplace catering customer base 

  • Lead a project to focus activity around our peak Jan-March period in the calendar with sampling and broader activation happening at site level with the most influential customers. 

  • Lead the onboarding of new customers through your wholesale partners and reflect within your customer forecasts 

Who you are 

  • A background in FMCG and a strong understanding of the Wholesale/Catering landscape across the UK 

  • Ideally hold 2+ years of relevant experience within the Wholesale/Catering sectors 

  • Trained & Experienced at developing win:win negotiations and JBPs with customers 

  • Analytical & comfortable with numbers, highly competent in Excel 

  • A great communicator and able to demonstrate experience of leading cross-functional teams to support delivery of winning plans with your customers 

  • Looking to be part of a fast-paced and exciting growth journey that accelerates your own development and responsibility 

  • Prioritisation – Comfortable saying no to smaller opportunities and allocating time and focus to key customers and key opportunities for growth 

  • Category Selling – building effective stories to explore and articulate the Shots category opportunity for existing and new customers 

  • Passionate and optimistic about the opportunity to improve the health of the nation, whilst working towards MOJU’s mission to be the ‘favourite and freshest way to kickstart the day!’
